The Flare Leadership Team is made up of an impressive group of young women. Our team hopes to amplify and uplift the voices of our Sage Hill student body. The team contributes heavily to Flare in a variety of areas, including social media, managing this website, and editing articles. The leadership team was created in hopes of continuing Flare to the next generation of Sage students who love fashion!
Katie Chang '27
Editor in Chief/President
Katie is the Editor in Chief of Flare. Through her role, she oversees the production, design, editing, and publication process of the annual magazine. She directs brainstorm meetings, organizes photoshoots, finalizes articles, and brings the team together.
Teresa Zuo '26
Creative Director
As the creative director, Teresa designs the magazine with the creative team and formulates the artistic direction and spreads. Her favorite part of Flare is combining my graphic designs with the team’s photography and fashion.
Suri Li '28
Junior Creative Director
Suri serves as the Junior Creative Director for Flare. She helps develop the magazine’s creative vision and works with the team to make each issue original. Her favorite part of Flare is working with others to bring ideas to life in a way that feels creative and fun.
Elizabeth Lu '29
Junior Editor
Elizabeth helps lead Flare as the Junior Editor. As part of the editing and managing team, she helps revise articles and advises members of Flare in following Flare’s mission to spread awareness and empowerment through fashion. She’s super excited for this year’s issue!
Anna Li '27
Creative Director
Anna Li is a creative director for FLARE. She works with the other directors to design the layout of the full magazine and leads the creative aspect of the club. She loves how FLARE is focused on self expression and how collaborative the club is!
Suri Yaghmai '27
DEI Editor
Suri is the DEI Editor for FLARE. She writes articles and make edits to ensure inclusion and diversity within each article. Her favorite part about FLARE is the team's ability to show creativity and self expression through photo shoots and writing!
Elisa Xu '27
Head of Writing
Elisa is a junior and Co-Head of Writing for Flare. She is in charge of coordinating and editing all Flare articles. She looks forward to working with the rest of the team to produce a great issue!
Violet Lee '29
Junior Head of Writing
Violet is the Junior Head of Writing, and she works with other writers, researchers, and the Head of Writing to create impactful articles. She is excited to work with the Flare team and share her passion for fashion and its impact on culture, through her writing.
Kamilia Motahari '27
Social Media Manager
Kamilia is a social media manager and manages the club’s social media presence. Her favorite flare memory is the Lido photoshoot in 2024, it was the first of many examples of how creative the team is.
Colette Moshayedi '27
Junior Head of Writing
Colette writes and edits articles for Flare, helping bring each issue together. She also works to keep the editorial process running smoothly while supporting and guiding other writers. Her favorite part of Flare is the diversity of each piece, with every article offering a unique perspective and covering a wide range of topics.
Amelie Lalvani '28
Head of Editorial Research
Violet is the Junior Head of Writing, and she works with other writers, researchers, and the Head of Writing to create impactful articles. She is excited to work with the Flare team and share her passion for fashion and its impact on culture, through her writing.
Catherine Zhang '27
Website Manager
Catherine is the website manager for FLARE and also has been part of the writing team. Her favorite memory with FLARE is collaborating with the team to produce the magazine every year!

Paloma Bhangoo '29
Writer
Paloma is a freshman at Sage Hill and a writer for FLARE magazine. Her favorite part about FLARE are the amazing and captivating stories that writers get the opportunity to cover, blending fashion with literature.
Ishani Magoon '29
Editorial Researcher
Ishani is a freshman and researcher. She loves streetwear, boho, and minimalist fashion. Outside of fashion her interests include tennis, dance, and hanging out with friends. Right now, she’s into sustainable fashion and fashion in sports.
Chaaya Springer '29
Photographer
Chaaya is a photographer for Flare. She focuses on light and style while also balancing to the nature of the subject. She loves to surf, ski, and be outside. One thing she is looking forward to is leading future Flare photography projects.
